Choosing your Victoria

What to know about the fit before you order.

Width

Wide shape suited to medium to wide feet; the Terratech is the widest in the range. Good to know: barefoot shoes always leave far more room than conventional shoes, and your toes naturally spread out as you wear them.

Size

Rely on the size chart in cm on the product page; we recommend adding 0.5 to 1.2 cm for comfort. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.

Sole

Olmo: 8 mm flexible sole. Duna and Terratech: 5 mm rubber. All have a removable insole; the Olmo and Duna come with two insoles, one zero drop and one for transition (3 mm for the Olmo, 4 mm for the Duna).

Which model?

Olmo: the classic in suede or faux leather, made in Spain, also in a nylon and suede version. Duna: suede, with its two insoles. Terratech: light knit, with elastic laces you never need to tie.

Victoria at a glance

In 1915, in La Rioja, Gregorio Jiménez founded a shoe brand and named it after his first love, Victoria. In the 1950s he adopted the then brand-new vulcanisation process to make sneakers in cotton canvas and natural rubber: the Inglesa became the brand's icon, famous for its strawberry scent. The canvas models are still handmade in Arnedo, La Rioja.

Its adult barefoot line, the Olmo, scored 9.2 on the minimalist index of the Umana biomechanics centre, a specialist in foot-friendly footwear.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose my Victoria size?

Measure your foot from heel to longest toe, then compare it with the size chart in cm on the product page. Allow 0.5 to 1.2 cm for comfort depending on your preference; if you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.

What are the two insoles for?

The Olmo and Duna come with a zero-drop insole and a transition insole, slightly raised at the heel (3 mm for the Olmo, 4 mm for the Duna). If you are new to barefoot, start with the transition insole, then switch to the zero-drop one when you feel comfortable.

What is the difference between the Olmo, Duna and Terratech?

The Olmo is the flagship model, in suede or faux leather, with an 8 mm flexible sole. The Duna, in suede, has a 5 mm rubber sole. The Terratech, in knit, is the lightest and widest, with elastic laces that tighten without a knot.

Where are Victoria barefoot shoes made?

The Olmo is made in Spain. The Duna and Terratech are made in China, according to the brand.

Can I machine-wash my Victoria?

Victoria advises against washing its barefoot sneakers, as some materials cannot take it. The insole of the Olmo and Terratech, however, is washable.

Does Victoria make children's models?

Yes: the Bosco Barefoot, a sneaker with two hook-and-loop straps in recycled cotton, easy to put on.
