Choosing your Tomar Création

What to know about the fit before you order.

Width

Tomar Création slippers suit all foot types: the soft leather adapts to the shape of your foot. Good to know: barefoot shoes always leave far more room than conventional shoes, and your toes naturally spread out as you wear them.

Size

Rely on the size chart in cm on the product page; we recommend adding 0.5 to 1.2 cm for comfort. The soft leather slippers can run small.

Sole

The babouches have a very flexible 2 mm rubber sole. The soft leather slippers have a suede leather sole, quiet and suited to indoor floors.

Which model?

For very cold days: sheepskin babouches lined with 100% sheep's wool (sizes 36 to 44). For winter: boiled merino wool babouches with fleece lining (39 to 42). For spring and autumn: fleece-lined soft leather slippers in Cream (37 to 41) or Grey fog (41 to 45).

The size chart in cm is on every product page.

Tomar Création at a glance

The Tomar workshop was founded in 1992 in Partizánske, Slovakia, by Maria Tomišová and Eduard Tomiš. For more than 10 years, Charline, from Normandy, and her partner Eduard, from Slovakia, have run this family workshop.

With 3 seamstresses and 2 assemblers, they do everything themselves, from design and choice of materials to sewing and shipping: every pair passes through their hands.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose my Tomar Création size?

Measure your foot from heel to longest toe, then compare it with the size chart in cm on the product page. We recommend adding 0.5 to 1.2 cm for comfort. The soft leather slippers can run small: check the chart carefully.

How do I care for my slippers?

The sheepskin and wool babouches can be washed at 30 °C with ordinary products. The soft leather slippers must not go in the washing machine: wipe them with a soft, slightly damp cloth, nourish the leather with a balm and let them air-dry away from heat.

Which one for winter?

The sheepskin babouches lined with sheep's wool are the warmest. The boiled merino wool babouches are warm and breathable. The lighter soft leather slippers are made for spring and autumn.

Can I wear them outside?

They are slippers designed for indoor use. The suede sole of the soft leather slippers is made for indoor floors.

Where are they made?

In the Tomar workshop in Partizánske, Slovakia, where the whole production is done by the team.

Who is behind Tomar Création?

Charline and Eduard, a Franco-Slovak couple who run the family workshop founded in 1992 with a small team of seamstresses and assemblers.
