Data collection and cookie policy

Use of Cookies when visiting the Site

To allow users of the Site to benefit from the services it offers [such as – and if the Site offers them: purchase of products, browsing, registration for the services offered, etc.], and to optimize and personalize its use (in particular the personalization of offers and advertising) according to the user, the Site uses Cookies. As long as the Customer/User of the Site does not decide to disable cookies, they agree that the Site may use them. They may disable these cookies at any time, free of charge, using the disabling options offered to them and described below, bearing in mind that this may reduce or prevent access to all or part of the Services offered by the Site.

Cookies - Definition and purpose

When the Customer/User visits the Site, information about the browsing of their device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) on the Site may be stored in text files called "Cookies", placed in their browser. Cookies are used to recognize the Customer/User's browser for the period of validity of the Cookie concerned.
Only the issuer of the Cookie concerned can read or modify the information it contains.
Some Cookies are essential for using the Site; others make it possible to optimize the use of the Site and to personalize the content displayed. Cookies thus make it possible:

*) To measure and analyze traffic and use of the Site, its sections and the Services offered, allowing the Site to carry out studies and to improve the relevance and ease of use of the Site and its Services,

*) To store the display preferences of the Customer's browser (language used, display settings, operating system used, etc.) and to adapt the presentation of the Site during their visits, according to the viewing or reading hardware and software on the Customer's device that are used to browse the Site.

*) To store information relating, for example, to a form that the Customer has filled in or to a service (registration, access to their account) or information that the Customer has chosen (services subscribed to, contents of their shopping cart).

*) To allow the Customer to access reserved and personal areas of the Site or its Services, such as their personal account, using login details or personal data previously provided, allowing them, where applicable, to access personalized content,

*) To implement security measures,

*) To limit the number of advertisements displayed,

*) To adapt the advertising content inserted on the Site to the Customer's interests and, where applicable, to a location (e.g. list of the nearest stores),

*) To adapt and send to the Customer personalized advertisements specifically intended for them, by electronic marketing or by display on their device within advertising spaces containing Cookies issued by the Site. This is done using the personal data that the Customer provides, in particular when registering or accessing and using one of the services, with which the Site associates the Cookies it issues.

When the Customer visits a third-party website containing advertising spaces displaying one of the Site's advertisements, this advertisement may be shown to the Customer through the recognition of one of the Cookies previously placed by the Site in the Customer's browser. These cookies may be placed and used by the Site's technical service providers.

Cookies placed by third parties in areas of the site

The Site may contain Cookies issued by third parties (communication agencies, audience measurement companies, targeted advertising providers, etc.) allowing them, during the period of validity of their Cookies:

*) to collect browsing information about the browsers visiting the Site,

*) to determine which advertising content is likely to match the Customer's interests in order to send them targeted advertisements, based on their browsing history collected by the third party.

The Customer may at any time prevent the collection of information about them through these third-party Cookies by clicking on the corresponding links (see the section on the management and use of cookies by the Customer).

The issuing and use of Cookies by these companies are subject to their own terms of use.

Cookies included in third-party applications on the site

The Site may include third-party software applications that allow the Customer to share content from the Site with other people or to let these other people know what the Customer has viewed or what they think of content on the Site. This is the case in particular for the "Share" and "Like" buttons from social networks such as Facebook, "Twitter", "Viadeo", etc.

The social network may identify the Customer through this button, even if the Customer did not use it while visiting the Site. This type of application button may allow the social network concerned to track the Customer's browsing on the Site, simply because their social network account was active in their browser (logged-in session) during that browsing.

The Site has no control over the process used by social networks to collect information about the Customer's browsing on the Site and to link it to the personal data they hold.

The Site recommends consulting the terms of use of personal data on these social networks in order to learn the purposes, in particular advertising purposes, for which they use the browsing information they may collect through these application buttons. The Customer should make sure that the terms of use of these social networks allow them to control and restrict the use of their data by these social networks, in particular by adjusting the settings of their user accounts with them.

Sharing the use of the customer's device with other people

If the Customer's device is used by several people, and when the same device has several browsers, the Site cannot be certain that the services and advertisements intended for the device actually correspond to the Customer's own use of that device and not to that of another user of the device.
Sharing the use of the Customer's device with other people and configuring their browser's cookie settings are the Customer's free choice and responsibility.

Management and use of cookies by the customer

The Customer may manage and change the use of Cookies at any time using the options described below.
The settings the Customer chooses may change their internet browsing and their conditions of access to and use of certain services of the Site that require cookies.
The Customer can therefore manage their Cookies:

*) from their browser software, or

*) from industry-wide platforms

Managing the Customer's cookies from their browser software:

The Customer can configure their browser software so that Cookies are either stored on their device or rejected, either systematically or depending on who issues them.

To find out how to manage the cookies stored in their browser, the Seller invites the Customer to consult their browser's help menu as well as the "Vos traces" (Your traces) section of the website of the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique & des Libertés, the French data protection authority) (http://www.cnil.fr/vos-libertes/vos-traces/les-cookies/).

Online management of the Customer's cookies from industry-wide platforms:

The Customer can also visit platforms that bring together digital advertising professionals, which show the companies registered with these platforms and give the Customer the option to refuse or accept the Cookies that these companies use to tailor, based on the information they collect, the advertisements that may be displayed in their browser.

This European platform is a centralized interface that allows the Customer to refuse or accept the Cookies of any given professional.

This procedure will not prevent advertisements from being displayed on the websites the Customer visits. It will only block the technologies that make it possible to tailor advertisements to their interests.
