Choosing your Peerko

What to know about the fit before you order.

Width

Peerko ankle boots suit medium to wide feet; on lace-up models, the lacing lets you adjust the hold over the instep. Good to know: barefoot shoes always leave far more room than conventional shoes, and your toes naturally spread out as you wear them.

Size

Rely on the size chart in cm on the product page; we recommend adding 0.5 to 1.2 cm for comfort.

Sole

Boots and ankle boots: 3.5 mm recyclable thermoplastic rubber with 1.5 mm lugs, 5 mm in total, zero drop, stitched and glued, fixed insole. Flare loafers: light EVA sole.

Which season?

Winter: Zipper fleece-lined boots, Joana boots (felt-lined). Mid-season and mild winter: GO, Chelsea. All year round: Smart. Warmer days: Origin canvas sneakers.

The size chart in cm is on every product page.

Peerko at a glance

Czech brand founded in 2018 in Karviná through crowdfunding, Peerko started with canvas shoes before launching its leather models in 2020. Its designers work with physiotherapists, and every pair is made in small family workshops in the European Union, from sole to laces.

Today, Peerko is a benchmark for build quality in boots and ankle boots. European cowhide leather or Oeko-Tex certified vegan leather: the range goes from canvas sneakers to tall lined boots.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose my Peerko size?

Measure your foot from heel to longest toe, then compare it with the size chart in cm on the product page. Allow 0.5 to 1.2 cm for comfort: closer to 0.5 cm if you like a snug fit, closer to 1.2 cm if you like room for your toes or wear thick socks.

Leather or vegan: what's the difference?

Leather and vegan models share the same shape and the same sole. The cowhide leather comes from European suppliers. The vegan leather is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (Class I) certified and needs less care.

My leather pair doesn't look exactly like the photo. Is that normal?

Yes. Natural leather varies from one hide to another: each pair may show slight differences in grain or shade. It is the mark of real leather, not a defect.

How do I care for my Peerko?

Leather: clean it, nourish it with a suitable conditioner, let it dry naturally and store your shoes with a shoe tree or paper. Vegan leather: a damp cloth is usually enough.

Can Peerko shoes be resoled?

Peerko does not offer repairs or resoling. A cobbler can advise you depending on the model.

I'm new to barefoot: how do I get used to it?

Your body needs time to adapt, especially after years in heeled shoes with rigid soles. Start with a few hours a day, then increase gradually as you feel comfortable.
